Sub-contractors interested in working with North Star are proud to deliver on quality for installation and system integration that meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements. Businesses will be screened for certifications and on-site managers must be highly competent, will be interviewed directly by North Star, and hand-picked by the sub for their specific project based on their expertise, certifications, performance record and character. On-site managers will have direct coordination and communication with North Star to ensure schedule and cost control, and that technical standards and outcomes meet our customers’ expectations. Deployed teams are expected to be professional representations of our companies to both the customer and their local community.

Subcontractor estimates should include bill of materials, labor, shipment, equipment rental if applicable, and per diem for out-of-area work.

Bonding

North Star maintains a surety bond account and utilizes government-mandated bid bonding to guarantee project performance when required, protecting both our customers and subcontractors throughout the contract lifecycle.

Standards and Certifications

All tools and equipment must meet OSHA and ISO guidelines
Quality assurance standards: ANSI/ASQC Z1.4, ISO 9000 Series, MIL-Q-9858, and MIL-STD-45662A
Various ICT and AV industry certifications may be required depending on project scope, including TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC, Extron, Crestron DMC, QSC, Biamp, Audinate, Autodesk, and AVIXA CTS/ANP
Security clearances are desired, but not always required
Engineering Document Management System (EDMS): PREVEIL is our chosen end-to-end encrypted email and file-sharing platform to secure sensitive data and achieve CMMC, NIST 800-171, and ITAR compliance.
